ABSTRACT: The role of vocational education in promoting sustainable agricultural practices is crucial for fostering environmentally friendly farming techniques and resource management. This study aimed to evaluate how vocational education programs contribute to sustainable agriculture, identify the specific skills and knowledge areas developed, and assess student satisfaction with the training. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from participants. The sample size included 200 students enrolled in agricultural vocational programs focused on sustainability. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with relevant experience in sustainable agricultural practices. The case study was conducted at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Findings showed that vocational education significantly enhanced students' understanding of sustainable farming methods, improved their skills in resource management, and increased their commitment to environmental stewardship. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the curriculum, noting its practical applications and relevance. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their focus on sustainable agricultural practices and provide ongoing professional development for instructors to stay updated on the latest sustainability trends.
